The fact that one feels at home. The service is simple but comfortable. Breakfast served in the garden is homy. Location is very good with metro stations within 500 m walking distance. Safe neighborhood, supermarket, restaurants, pizza places, etc. Information is quite easy: talk to Giovanni! Definitely would recommend.
A small fridge and air conditioning would make it even better, but according to Salvatore it is already on their plan.

I liked the personalised service and the breakfast out in the garden. The people were very helpful and willing to please. Ensuite shower was spotless.
The room was a bit stuffy and hot, and no fan was available. The place is a bit spartan, but comfortable on the whole.

Breakfast i served in the garden. Wifi is fast enough.
Bathroom floor gets wet very quickly if you have a shower and the doors and walls are quite thin.

Croisant every day for breakfast. First day it was good, second day as well but the other day ... all the other things are good.

On a quiet place, close to San Croce in Gerusalemme, this old villa has been rebuilt into a nice and quiet place with spacious rooms and free parking in the traffic-free street. There is a quick bus (105) and a night bus running from Termini station. With the expected completion of Metro Linea C in a few years, this place will be even better connected to the city's centre. John (Giovanni), the guy who runs the Villa is just cool.
The rooms can be quite hot in summer, whilst there is no airconditioning provided.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Villa Lanusei. The manager of the hotel, Giovanni, was a great source of info. He told us about bus routes, location of the metro station, and advice about good restaurants in the area. The Villa was clean, offered a daily breakfast, and using public transportation it was pretty easy to get around the city to see the sights. All in all, Villa Lanusei is good value for the price!

Relatively close to the underground (~15 minutes) considering that there are only two metro lines in Rome. About 25 minutes by foot to Colosseum. Food stores and small restaurants as well as shopping streets (like via Appia Nuova) are in close range. Staff was very friendly. Room was cleaned every day. The place felt safe and was located in quiet neighborhood. Ancient roman aqueduct can be seen from the window. Breakfast was normal, though fixed-choice (cruasans, yogurts, juice, coffee) but you can grab an orange from the garden :P.
It is hard to find the hotel so be sure to check the map. The room was sometimes quite cold and the heating did not work all the time (only in the morning and probably in the evening). However, I`ve heard it is a general policy in Rome.

A budget hotel with clean and secure rooms. Good staff.
Private parking is not locked private parking - it is on the road outside the hotel and anyone can access it. It has a boom gate at one end and is generally up all the time. Breakfast is budget and with no selection - adequate but limited.

1. Location is good - not far (600 m) from the metro station. 2. Quietness on the street
Rooms are very small. We've heard everything what our neighbors did.

Friendly staff and good breakfast. Location is quite far away from the metro station (at least 15 minute walk), but you can take the buses to termini.

The accommodation was great. The house is very well kept and the rooms very clean and comfortable. The staff was extremely nice and helpful.
It was a bit far from the Center. Although it had a bus link it was a long drive. I hope that now since there will be a new metro line in Rome and a stop very near to the house it will be even more convenient to stay there.

Villa Lanusei is more a four star B & B than a hotel because it has no lounge or bar but having said that we found it to be excellent. Room was a very good size and comfortable with large double wardrobe to put everything away in. It was also very quiet double glazing is excellent and fly screens mean that you can leave the windows open. Location very good for visiting the main attractions transport links, buses 810, 81 and 16 just a short walk away all go to the centre. Metro links excellent. There is a Spa Supermarket very close to the hotel. Staff are very welcoming and most helpful with local information and any other requests. We stayed for one week and enjoyed our stay.

We stayed there 2 nights. Both guys we met at the reception, Ionel and Mihai are awesome. Very kind, very polite and very nice. The venue location is in a quiet area of the city. The room was spacious, very clean an nice. We took the breakfast in the garden the villa has and it was pleasantly. Even it is a typical italian one, the breakfast was very delicous. Extremely good value for money. We would definitely recommend it and come back there again.
Lack of air conditioning would be a minus, but not problematic.
